Pakistan-India Peoples' Forum For Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD)

The goal of PIPFD is to facilitate common people in both the countries to listen to voices that are different from the belligerent voices of the respective Governments. It is with the objective of asserting the sanity of the peace loving people of India and Pakistan that concerned citizens and groups in both the countries have come together to formulate strategies for promoting peace and strengthen democracy in the sub-continent.

Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace (CNDP)

The Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace (CNDP) is India's national network of over 200 organisations, including grassroots groups, mass movements and advocacy organisations, as well as individuals. Formed in November 2000, CNDP demands that India and Pakistan roll back their nuclear weapons programmes.

South Asians against Nukes

An independent platform to raise awareness against the menace of military and civil nuclearisation in India and Pakistan.

South Asia Forum for Human Rights (SAFHR)

Human rights, peace and democracy are the main areas of concern of the South Asia Forum for Human Rights. SAFHR set up in 1990, is a regional public forum for the promotion of respect for universal values of human rights, the interdependence of rights and the indivisibility of rights.




Friends of South Asia (FOSA)

The basic mission of the "Friends of South Asia" is to achieve a peaceful, prosperous, and hate-free South Asia. The group works towards a demilitarized, nuclear-free South Asia; bringing together people with roots in various parts of South Asia, as well as other well-wishers of the region.




International South Asia Forum (INSAF)


The International South Asia Forum (INSAF) is a coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to the promotion of peace and social justice in South Asia. We seek a peaceful resolution of all conflicts in the region, demilitarization, an end to the nuclear standoff between India and Pakistan, and the promotion of friendship among the people of the region.

Alliance for a Secular and Democratic South Asia

In response to the rising communalization of South Asian societies, the Alliance for a Secular and Democratic South Asia was formed in January 1993. The Alliance is made up of concerned individuals in the Boston area. It represents many South Asian countries as well as people of South Asian descent in the USA.

Association for Communal Harmony in Asia (ACHA)

ACHAis dedicated to promote peace in South Asia and harmony among South Asians everywhere they live. ACHA Board of Directors appreciates people's goodwill and support for this cause. Based in the state of Oregon in the United States of America, ACHA is a non-profit and non-political organization.



South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA)

The South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA) is a non-profit organization that provides a networking and resource forum for journalists of South Asian origin and journalists interested in South Asia or the South Asian Diaspora.

The South Asian Media Net is an independent and comprehensive website providing in-depth news coverage from across the South Asian region.


The South Asia Citizens Web (SACW)

SACW is an independent space on the internet to promote exchange of information between and about citizens initiatives from South Asia and its diasporic communities.

South Asian Forum

The South Asian Forum aims to tell the story of South Asians through the lens of its organizations and organizing work. From one-one-one interviews with community Youth Solidarity Summer organizations to an extensive history and framework of South Asians in the U.S., this Forum hopes to capture the deep and rich history of South Asian collective action in the U.S.



South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow (SAALT)

Founded in 2000, South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow (SAALT) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the full and equal participation by South Asians in the civic and political life of the United States.



Alliance of South Asians Taking Action (ASATA)

ASATA, the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action, is a San Francisco Bay Area group working to educate, organize, and empower the Bay Area South Asian communities to end violence, oppression, racism and exploitation within and against our diverse communities.


South Asian Progressive Action Collective (SAPAC)

The South Asian Progressive Action Collective (SAPAC) is a Chicago-based organization that developed out of a common desire for a forum to take up progressive issues pertinent to South Asia and the Diaspora through direct action, creative expression, and discussion.
