A sad incident claiming the lives of another 45 odd innocents. May their soul rest in peace and may these terrorists have a miserable life before and after death.

India was going on nicely apart from a few jitters here and there and it was getting all too quiet for anyone’s satisfaction. I had always thought that with terrorists getting stronger and the friction between Muslims and Hindus temporarily sharpening due to the incidents of Hyderabad blast, Malegaon and the verdict of Supreme court for 1993 bombings a terrorist activity is imminent. By Allah's will 19 bombs were recovered unexploded and a major threat to may be hundreds of lives has been averted.

Who did it is a big question. The first word that comes out of the TV box and government officials is always Pakistan, ISI or Kashmiri Jehadis.

This time it was a mixed reaction. But the Government and Media again think that it is somehow related to so called Islamic Terrorism. If the Bangladeshi link is established India would be in a real dilemma. Bangladesh has been thought off as a country which was dormant for a long time. With an armed Government in Pakistan and now in Bangladesh too, the two Armies and the two intelligences would always enjoy better relations with each other as we have seen in the past when 2 or 3 army rules were seen by Bangladesh in 35 years time. With intelligence sharing and intelligence interchange the two hostile nations towards India can be responsible for an attack that has occured or might occur in the future. May be India miscalculated by thinking that secession of Bangladesh would result in cordial relations with Bangladeshi people and its Government and hence no threat from the east. The theory has apparently back fired.

Another aspect cannot be ignored too. On August 15, 2007, the Indian Prime Minister called Naxalites as the biggest security threats. Is the biggest nightmare for India becoming true. Are naxalites really becoming a force. Many claim that the area affected by Maoists today is  almost 25-30% of India and with communistic forces of China behind them a possibility that they are potent enough to place 20 odd bombs in one city at one time is not remote. Assam off late has seen a lot of blasts ignored mostly due to lesser loss of human lives. But, the ability to conduct such low intensity bombs can always suggest that ULFA can gear up and press up the gas.

But in the end there is one question which would always be asked. Is this a part of the chain that had its first link in 1993 and second in 2006 Mumbai and would Muslims again be targeted for this incident. May Divine Help Us Find the True Path.
