I am Indian and I am posting this article with my perception and experiences how I see the recent activities among both the nations. So, please pardon on some points I raised.

In the recent past, India and Pakistan have come a lot closer for the first time in the history, but as a common citizen of India, I have a fear that how long this peace will continue? For how much time our politicians will stick to their decisions? Certainly a hopeful sign and nice picture is portrayed but it takes just one drop of water to damage the whole scene. It will be a just a matter of word or action to make it worser than earlier, that is harmful for both nations and the citizens.

Both nations, especially Pakistan, realise that there is no point in sticking to Kashmir issue because it is neither fetching them support for their right on Kashmir nor doing any good for nation development. In fact 9/11 changed the whole scenario in South Asia. It highlighted the growing terrorism in world and Pakistan took that as an opportunity, thanks to their leader Mr. Mushrraf, and  Pakistan was acknowledged in the world. He not only got his coup accepted by the world powers but also took Pakistan to new heights. Now, Pakistan's economy is developing like snake which was snail in earlier governments. These are encouraging signs for India too, as if economy increases, it will fetch lots of jobs for unemployed youth in Pakistan. High wages in MNCs might lure youth towards development rather than destruction. There is still a lot of scope for curbing terrorism for Pakistan but now they are taking steps towards it, slowly but steadily. Previously, they were denying these facts, some still deny it. Anyway, that is not an issue and I am happy as Pakistan is progressing. I hope that extremism will get diluted in this progress. There is a refreshing change as per me. Pakistan is changing its anti-Hindu and anti-India syllabus. I hope new upcoming breed of Pakistan would not have that hatred from childhood.

One sad thing about this change is that some people are disliking this revolution. They still want Pakistan to be extremist country. They do not want to remove that anti-India shawl. It is my personal experience as I got their views.

As Pakistan is changing its views, India is also showing some positive signs to Pakistan's proposal, Recently Indian PM has given a hint that all solutions to Kashmir issue are welcome. It is small light in big tunnel. I hope it will turn out to be a sunlight rather than a train coming towards us. India is also progressing economically as well as at political front of the world. I hope India will take its neighbors with it and make South Asia more peaceful than ever.

Still some questions remain in mind: How long will it go? Will a next dictator or government in Pakistan continue this peace process? Will the next Indian government will follow current government's policy? Is Mr. Mushrraf playing a game? Only time will give answers to these questions. As a common people of a nation, we have to wait.
