My experience of Aman Ki Asha project
I have learnt quite a few things; that it’s possible to establish human-to-human contact regardless of any divisions along the lines of cast, creed, religion or geographical boundaries. We spoke the same language; we interacted; we communicated. We realized how alike we were, how the ‘other side’ wasn’t so much the ‘other side’ but more the ‘same side;’ how somewhere underneath all the layers of hatred and misguided passion fuelled by ignorance and propaganda, we’re all the same. We wept the same tears (salty tracks mingling together) at the unequivocal hated and the blind fervour sweeping both nations; and how it wasn’t us but the politicians We’re not Indian or Pakistani, we’re ‘subconties’ (subcontinentals), let me put it this way, we’re youth without borders, we’re “citizens of the world.” These wonderful committed people who have touched me with their warmth, love or sheer exuberance has proven to be inspiration enough to keep me focused and going. India and Pakistan can expect to live in peace and benefit from its dividends through economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

Visit to homeland
We also work together to facilitate the people of the both sides to visit their home lands, which they have left during partition.
I have seen many people who wish to see their home once in a life but they could not make it because of tension between both the countries and fear of insecurity.
We should make a forum to facilitate of such people.

Close and yet so far away
We the people of India and Pakistan, speak almost similar languages, wear similar clothes and eat the same food and I bet we like each other too.Just because of few wrong people, a country can not be tagged as bad.

The Forum can act as a locomotive for breaking not only the ice between our two countries but also activate such initiatives that can multiply profits and advantages through exchange of ideas. There is priority on starting a weekly magazine as well as a TV channel to facilitate interaction between people to people. India can provide a lead. An Example: India can promote establishing a chain of "Businessmen's Clubs". It is expected to become an instant success.

We speak the same language
About three years ago I got a chance to visit Delhi. I am 66 and went out wearing a shalwar kameez and a waistcoat. I was pleasantly surprised when passing near a bus/wagon stop at Chandni Chowk, the bus conductor gestured towards me and shouted: "Aao ji Jammu chalein". My ancestors had migrated to Rawalpindi a hundred years before partition and it then dawned upon me that I still looked like a Kashmiri.
If the Bombay attacks did not take place, the easing of travel across the Line of Control was next on the cards. During my journey which I undertook by Samjhota Express I saw many Pakistanis travelling to India, laden with gifts for their loved ones, and a group of traders taking goods to be sold in India. It was clear as day that easing visa restrictions and allowing greater travel was perhaps the best way to bring peace between the two countries. We speak the same language. Only the script is different.

A suggestion
Let us create funds or seek ways to advertise on India and Pakistan t.v. channels of the need for both govts to work on agriculture dept. and poverty removal as we need to change the habit of spending money on war preparedness which serves only destructive tendencies.
